Regulation of autophagy during mitosis

چکیده
Based on observations of mitosis process, it has been implied that autophagy is repressed. Because the integrity chromosomes and proteins are significant for cell cycle, repression serves as a protection. However, mechanistic detail whether how regulated during remains controversial. In this review, we aim to analyse review recent literature regulation mitosis. According researches, repressed via inhibitory phosphorylation genes by CDK1, CUL4-RING ubiquitin ligases-mediated WIPI2 polyubiquitination proteasomal degradation. addition, evidence indicates will be reviewed.

Separase regulation during mitosis.
The final, irreversible step in the duplication and distribution of genomes to daughter cells takes place when chromosomes split at the metaphase-to-anaphase transition. A protease of the CD clan, separase (C50 family), is the key regulator of this transition. During metaphase, cohesion between sister chromatids is maintained by a chromosomal protein complex, cohesin. Anaphase is triggered when...
متن کاملRegulation of mRNA translation during mitosis
Passage through mitosis is driven by precisely-timed changes in transcriptional regulation and protein degradation. However, the importance of translational regulation during mitosis remains poorly understood. Here, using ribosome profiling, we find both a global translational repression and identified ~200 mRNAs that undergo specific translational regulation at mitotic entry. In contrast, few ...
متن کاملDynamic Regulation of Oct1 during Mitosis by Phosphorylation and Ubiquitination
BACKGROUND Transcription factor Oct1 regulates multiple cellular processes. It is known to be phosphorylated during the cell cycle and by stress, however the upstream kinases and downstream consequences are not well understood. One of these modified forms, phosphorylated at S335, lacks the ability to bind DNA. Other modification states besides phosphorylation have not been described. METHODOL...
متن کاملKinases Involved in Both Autophagy and Mitosis
Both mitosis and autophagy are highly regulated dynamic cellular processes and involve various phosphorylation events catalysed by kinases, which play vital roles in almost all physiological and pathological conditions. Mitosis is a key event during the cell cycle, in which the cell divides into two daughter cells. Autophagy is a process in which the cell digests its own cellular contents. Alth...
متن کاملControlling the switches: Rho GTPase regulation during animal cell mitosis.
Animal cell division is a fundamental process that requires complex changes in cytoskeletal organization and function. Aberrant cell division often has disastrous consequences for the cell and can lead to cell senescence, neoplastic transformation or death. As important regulators of the actin cytoskeleton, Rho GTPases play major roles in regulating many aspects of mitosis and cytokinesis. Thes...
